When? Where? What? Who? How?

When:  Saturday March 24, 2012
            9:00 am – 9:00 pm
Where:  Red Deer Collicutt Centre indoor soccer pitch
What: 12 hour Indoor Soccer Marathon to support the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
Who: Anyone 6 or over may participate in the co-ed marathon, although, persons under the age of 18 will require a guardians signature.  Guardians must also be present at all time. All participants are required to fill out registration and liability release forms. We sincerely hope to see all levels of skill and knowledge out on the pitch, and encourage anyone who wants to have fun and contribute to come and play!  If playing is not for you then please consider volunteering!
How: Players will be responsible for collecting individual pledges to qualify for entry into the marathon and must raise a minimum amount of $100.00 in pledges to qualify for 1 hour’s field time or pay $20.00 per hour; of play.

Players

Players will be given choice of time slots on a first come first serve basis depending on availability (1 hr intervals) Time slots have been arranged for the following:
Families (Ages 6+), Youth (ages 12-16), Co-ed (Ages 16+), Women’s (Ages 16+),  Men’s (Ages 16+)
Children under the age of 10 are free; when participating with their parents and do not require a $20 registration fee or pledges.
Sports teams or businesses that wish to enter participants or challenge rivals are highly encouraged. Please contact the committee to make time slot arrangements and register more than one participant under the same name.
Participants who raise over $100 dollars in pledges will have the registration fee of $20 waived. Pledges will be due the day of the event 15 minutes prior to scheduled play.

Prizes will also be awarded to individuals who reach the following 4 milestones pledge amounts:

  • $100 = Registration Fee Waived ($20 per person over the age of 10)
  • $300 = The above + official event water bottle
  • $500 = All the above + official event T-shirt
  • $1000 = All the above + official event athletic bag.
